Treatment and recovery of waste
On 1st July 2019, CNIM transferred operation of the waste-to-energy plant located in Beddington, Croydon (UK), to its customer, VIRIDOR. CNIM has handed over an ultra-modern turnkey facility, for which it managed everything from design to installation of the industrial process and plant commissioning.
The plant is equipped with premium CNIM technologies. Features include:
In the United Kingdom, the CNIM Group has now built Waste-to-Energy (W2E) facilities in London (SELHCP), Chineham, Marchwood, Portsmouth, Sheffield, Jersey, Lincolnshire, Staffordshire, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, Cardiff, Shropshire, Leeds, Wilton and Beddington. The Group also operates the facilities in Dudley, Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent. CNIM is currently building the planned W2E plant in Avonmouth near Bristol for Viridor, as well as W2E facilities in Earls Gate (for a Joint-venture between Brockwell Energy Ltd, Green Investment Group and Covanta), Wheelabrator Kemsley and Wheelabrator Parc Adfer (for Wheelabrator Technologies) and Lostock (for CIP Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and FCC Environment, forming LSEP - Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant Ltd).
