Waste treatment facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain: a first contract for CNIM in the Gulf region
On Monday December 15, CNIM signed an exclusive contract for waste treatment in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This contract includes a first phase for the construction and the operation for a period of 25 years of an integrated plant with a processing capacity of approximately 500 000 t of house-hold waste, commercial waste, building and demolition waste.
The implementation of the first phase is conditioned by the favorable conclusion of the following steps:
- Finalizing the project taking into account the new definition;
- Setting up of the financing structure based on a BOT* ;
- Obtaining the administrative authorizations – building and operating permits.
